Safety Attendant – Total Safety
Location: 365 Highway 365, Port Arthur, TX 77640, USA & 3500 E. Timbertown Dr, Houston, TX 77042, USA
We are looking for a Safety Attendant to join our safety-conscious team. The Safety Attendant will work in confined spaces, perform fire and bottle watch, conduct atmospheric monitoring, and flag/spot work zones to ensure the safety of all personnel.
Responsibilities
• Obtain and review the complete permit at the job site, identify any errors, and ensure corrections are made.
• Set up the job per procedures and ensure all required PPE (vest, meters, radios, air horn, barricade tape, breathing air barricades and tags, fire extinguisher, charged water hose with nozzle, horn, fire blankets or burlap to cover drains, and other PPE) is in place.
• Follow all steps required before allowing work to proceed in accordance with guidelines and specific procedures.
• Verify that all workers have the required PPE as specified on the permit.
• Maintain continuous visual and/or radio communication with the crew during work.
• Observe work conditions and remain aware of any potential dangers.
• Conduct job completion routine and complete all required documentation.
• Gather equipment and notify the customer that the job is complete.
• Assist other crew members as needed.
