Guest Service Attendant MSH 11 W PVT Unit FT Evenings (12:30p-8:30p) Mon-Fri w/EOW
Provides service to patients including transport, escorting, meal and snack delivery, linen and tableware setup and light cleaning.
Responsibilities
Advises patient of diet change and concomitant changes in menu selection, in conjunction with nursing
utrition.
Assists patient and patient's guest with menu selection.
Daily delivery of newspapers and magazines.
Damps and sanitizes surfaces as needed.
Delivers meal service, including meals from the Kosher Kitchen, to patient room or designated dining area, setting up with appropriate table linen.
Escorts ambulatory patients to and from the areas outside the unit.
Fills refrigerator with nourishment appropriate to patient's diet upon request.
Maintains control of the patient's chart while the patient is off the unit, and releases charts only to authorized personnel.
Makes certain patient is ready to receive delivery of meal, in coordination with nursing.
Offers patient appropriate menu after consulting with nursing
utrition.
Spot cleaning of walls, windows, furniture and other items as needed.
Stocks deliveries to the floor as requested.
Transports patient on a stretcher or wheelchair to and from, or outside the unit.
Transports patient's belongings and luggage to and from the unit.
Provides patients with items as needed, such as linens, unit literature and other related items.
Qualifications
High School graduate or GED
0-1 year experience

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $25.3556 - $27.2515 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
