Job Description
Qualifications: Credentials as required by the State of Oklahoma.
Reports to: Site Principal and/or Assistant Principal.
Performance Responsibilities
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the district’s curriculum goals and state standards, as well as the individual needs of each pupil.
Translate lesson plans into learning experiences that effectively utilize the available time for instruction.
Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Evaluate pupil’s academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare reports relating to pupil's progress.
Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil’s progress and interpret the school program.
Identify pupil needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
Create an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers.
Maintain professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the district and self-selected professional growth activities.
Select and requisition books and instructional aids; maintain required inventory records.
Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day.
Administer group standardized tests in accordance with the district testing program.
Participate in curriculum development programs as required.
Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities.
Based on the position, may coach, participate in extracurricular activities, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Terms of Employment: Number of calendar days and compensation based on approved certified schedule and employee work calendars.
Evaluation: Evaluation by site principal and/or assistant principal in accordance with BOE Policy DNA Teacher Evaluation.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently.
Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather.
Ability to walk or move long distances from location to location around the building multiple times each day.
Position type: Full‑time.
Salary: $45,200 Per Year.
