Job Description
Responsible for providing supervision to elementary students during lunch period. This position reports to the Principal. This is a part-time position typically 2-3 hours per day.
Responsibilities
Establish acceptable standards of behavior in the cafeteria; supervise students entering and leaving the cafeteria and assist with seating; supervise social behavior.
Enforce cafeteria procedures and rules.
Maintain an orderly, clean, and appetizing environment for students to eat lunch (i.e., wiping off tables).
Report inappropriate student behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience working in a school cafeteria preferred.
Light independent judgment necessary; decisions made as needed to establish order.
Require regular contact with internal and external school personnel to discuss moderate importance issues; must work with students congenially and nurturing.
Great communication, interpersonal skills required.
School setting; primarily cafeteria.
Light duty: mostly standing, occasionally sitting, standing or stooping; light lifting or carrying 20 lbs or less.
