The Mental Health Technician - Tier I provides direct care, monitoring, assistance, and advocacy for behavioral health clients and supports professional staff by performing a wide variety of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

The Mental Health Technician - Tier I provides direct care, monitoring, assistance, and advocacy for behavioral health clients and supports professional staff by performing a wide variety of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both written and verbal skills.
Compassionate and understanding.
Willingness to be cross‑trained to other areas.
Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training, and immediate reporting of suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.
Education and Licensure
High School diploma, GED or higher education required.
Must obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of starting unit orientation (training provided).
Current BLS upon hire or acquire within 30 days of employment and maintain thereafter.
