Material Planner II
Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. The global supply chain also encompasses cultured and wild species sourced from an international network of trusted suppliers.
The Material Planner II will be responsible for managing the Supply and Inventory plans for key species. The role is responsible for guiding the upstream organization on Domestic Fish needs and for proactively managing downstream production constraints and market expectations around service and inventory.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective material planning process with upstream operations for key species by balancing inventory and plant consumption while delivering superior customer service.
- Understand the market demand and the related plant utilization of material as inputs to developing a robust Demand Supply gap assessment.
- Provide weekly/monthly inputs to P&L team for taking buy-sell decisions
- Lead Material Planning improvement initiatives and proactively manage projects to improve efficiency and longer-term planning.
- Identify material risks and develop mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure material and manage service levels.
- Identify and communicate constraints that may impact the achievement of business demand.
- Manage the material planning systems and tools as super users and provide inputs to continuously improve their performance.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports on material planning and inventory tracking.
- Lead Weekly/Monthly material reviews and actively participate in the Global S&OP process.
- Identify materials that are slow moving or obsolete excess and coordinate with respective business partners to determine an avenue of disposition.
- Identify materials with shelf-life expiry approaching and communicate with respective business partners to determine an avenue of disposition in order to avoid disposing of inventory.
- Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $115,000 to $130,000.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in the CPG industry in the areas of material planning, production planning and S&OP.
- Bachelor's degree in business/engineering/mathematics, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
Preferred Education & Experiences:
- Master's degree in supply chain or business management.
- Experience working with recognized Supply Planning tools (SAP/Oracle, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA):
- Advanced in Excel (required) or Expert in Excel including Power Pivot (preferred).
This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
