POSITION SUMMARY:
At Nemacolin, we aim to deliver unforgettable experiences on and off the court. As a Professional Pickleball & Tennis Instructor, you’ll create excitement, energy, and engagement for every guest who steps onto the court. You will be responsible for leading dynamic lessons, clinics, and social play while fostering a fun, safe, and professional environment. Your ability to connect with players of all skill levels will ensure guests leave with improved confidence, skills, and memories that last a lifetime.
Essential Functions
Provide group and private tennis and pickleball lessons tailored to players of all ages and skill levels.
Organize and facilitate clinics, tournaments, and social events to promote racquet sports.
Welcome and engage guests with a friendly, enthusiastic demeanor.
Ensure courts, equipment, and guest areas are clean, organized, and ready for play.
Report any potential safety hazards to management immediately.
Maintain safety and injury prevention by educating guests on proper form, technique, and game rules.
Be knowledgeable about all resort racquet sport programs and activities, making personalized recommendations when appropriate.
Offer advice on appropriate equipment, strings, and apparel, and assist guests with rentals and sales when needed.
Promote and encourage participation in lessons, leagues, and events to build a strong racquet sports community.
Collaborate with the resort team to create new and innovative ways to improve the guest experience.
Ensure proper maintenance of the courts, nets, and playing surfaces by reporting any hazards or issues to management.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations.
Adhere to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
Responsible for general & accurate resort knowledge & the surrounding area.
Other job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Passionate about tennis, pickleball, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Certification with USPTA, PTR, or a related professional racquet sports organization is preferred but not required.
Friendly & outgoing personality.
Ability to be on your feet for at least 8 hours.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
Must be able to handle high-volume, fast paced situations.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, evenings.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful.
