Description
PS‑OICs are the front line supervisors among our physical security officer teams, leading the way in caring for and supporting our employees. In this role, Physical Security Officers in Charge (PS‑OICs) can expect to lead teams in demanding and fast‑paced environments. PS‑OICs ensure their teams adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and practices assigned to their facilities. PS‑OICs play a crucial role in the maintenance and enhancements of SOPs and Site Security operations. Additionally, PS‑OICs may be required to work with a firearm. The PS‑OIC mission is to ensure the protection of all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high‑end customer service.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

Delivering high‑end customer service

Ensuring team adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, policies and practices assigned

Updating Client Relations Manager on changes needed in best practices and SOPs

Managing teams of PSOs

Approving payroll

Completing and reviewing daily logs and incident reports

Conducting on‑the‑job training

Building and maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and coworkers

Performing other related duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or credit equivalent

Two years of face‑to‑face customer service experience

Two years of supervisor/management experience

Possess at least one of the following experience/education criteria:

Five years of armed security experience

Four years of military experience

Successful completion of a state or federal certified law enforcement training academy

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent leadership skills

Reliable transportation

Extensive use of force knowledge

Proactive problem‑solving skills

Must be able to obtain state‑required armed security officer license

Ability to obtain OCAT, PATH, and PPBT certifications

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) consisting of:
Run 100 meters in 66 seconds or less, followed by a 10 min break

Perform 30 push‑ups (no time limit), followed by a 30 min break

Ability to use force, up to and including deadly force, when reasonably justified
