Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Nurse Specialist – Female Correctional Facility (Dayton, OH) Location: Dayton, OH 45417 Type: Contract-to-Hire Hours: 24–30 hours per week, Monday–Friday (No nights, weekends, or holidays) Pay Rate: $65–$70 per hour Overview: We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) licensed in Ohio to provide on-site mental health services to the female population at a correctional facility. This assignment offers some flexibility in shift start/end times to meet operational needs. The position is projected to last approximately 3 months , with potential for extension based on continued need and mutual fit. Key Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric and mental health care to female inmates. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure patient safety and compliance with policies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and legal requirements. Requirements: Current Ohio RN or APRN license . Board certification (ANCC or equivalent) as a PMHNP or CNS. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification . Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification . Comprehensive resume including education (school, location, year of graduation), training, and complete work history. Must provide US Passport or Naturalization card if born outside the US. If less than 5 years in Ohio, must complete FULL SSN on ODRC packet. Ability to clear a metal detector and adhere to facility security rules (no cell phones, tobacco, vapes, cans, or non-transparent food/drink containers; 1 gallon of water max).
