RN Emergency Department FCH Job Description

Registered Nurses are responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift. Night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation Pay based on experience starting at $37.23.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers medications and treatments according to protocol.
  • Completes the assessment upon admission.
  • Coordinates admission, discharge and transfer planning with all team members.
  • Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure consistency in care delivery.
  • Documents and reports care delivered to the physicians and other team members as needed.
  • Enhances patient care and efficiency of unit by optimizing workflow of all team members.
  • Performs appropriate triage assessments.
  • Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines and makes referral to the OP Care Coordinator as appropriate.
  • Provides and coordinates patient and family education and utilizes referral agencies to promote patient's management of own healthcare.
  • Responds to patient's call light and other indicators for assistance promptly and courteously to meet patient's needs.

Requirements:

  • ADN (Required)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 Days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln
  • BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. - Sarah Bush Lincoln
  • RN-Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

Compensation Estimated Compensation Range $37.23 - $57.71 Pay based on experience
