GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Master Technician ensures high-quality automotive service by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle systems, following safety and quality standards, and engaging customers throughout the service process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prioritize workplace safety, complete required safety training and report hazards.

Provide automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for all ASE-series systems (A1–A8).

Initiate and manage service work orders; ensure proper documentation, parts selection, and return of unused parts.

Maintain a minimum 16‑week average productivity: Technician 80%, ASE Technician 90%, Master Technician 100%.

Follow VIP quality service policies, complete all required training, and maintain current certifications.

Conduct 5‑for‑5 Customer Engagement Process and support post‑service road tests.

Obtain and maintain valid state inspection license and ASE certifications (A1–A8 for Master).

Perform product and vehicle safety checks, secure customer vehicles, and maintain a clean work area.

Assist with daily and weekly shop maintenance, facility upkeep, and compliance with safety regulations.

Review time records and report to Service Manager.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:

Maintain minimum 50% productivity (billed hours / worked hours).

Minimize rework, ensuring work is completed correctly the first time.

STANDARD MANAGEMENT WORK WEEK:

Work 5 days, 40 hours per week.

Arrive before shift start, be ready to perform duties, and work all scheduled hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: read and interpret technical instructions, explain vehicle information to customers, diagnose basic automotive problems, apply written and oral instructions, and perform automotive services listed above.

Minimum education/experience: one year related experience; optional two‑year college or technical program.

Valid driver’s license.

ASE Certification: G1 (recommended), A4, A5 (required for Technician level). Master Technician must hold all A1–A8.

State Inspection License.

Equipment Safety Certification.
