About the Role
Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Richmond, 23238
Key Responsibilities
Strong experience with network devices (NCS/ASR, Arista, Ciena, Aruba, Dell)
Expertise in routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP
Knowledge of network technologies: VRF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VXLAN, EVPN
Experience with security and VPN technologies: IPSEC, GRE, MACSEC
Understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6
Hands‑on experience with cloud networking (AWS Direct Connect, GCP Interconnect)
Experience in network automation using Python, Ansible, REST APIs
Familiarity with ACI, Nexus, Arista CloudVision (preferred)
Ability to manage end‑to‑end network projects independently
Strong communication and documentation skills
Minimum Qualifications
Design, deploy, and optimize WAN, LAN, Data Center, and Cloud networks
Manage and support ACI fabrics, backbone, and carrier connectivity
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and business impact
Lead network design, implementation, and infrastructure upgrades
Act as the highest escalation point for complex network issues
Collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams for high availability and compliance
Deploy and manage high-speed connectivity (10G/100G, fiber, cloud interconnects)
Implement network automation and scripting for efficiency
Support 24/7 operations and critical deployments
Create network diagrams, documentation, and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions
Research and implement new technologies to improve network performance
Preferred Qualifications
CCNP / CCIE Certification
Arista ACE Certification
Aruba or Versa SD-WAN Certification
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 – $100,000 annually. Factors affecting pay may include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
