This is a remote position.
Position Overview
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at CSols, you act as a strategic consultant for organizations looking to transform their scientific data management. You will be responsible for driving growth within the Western and Central US regions by identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and positioning CSols as the premier provider of laboratory informatics excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management: Execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Western/Central US, focusing on lead generation, prospecting, and closing high-value service contracts.
Strategic Consulting: Engage with laboratory directors, IT leaders, and Quality Assurance executives to understand their informatics pain points (LIMS, ELN, SDMS, etc.).
Pipeline Development: Proactively build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold outreach, and leveraging CSols’s industry-leading reputation.
Collaboration: Work closely with our technical delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, accurate, and aligned with client expectations.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends in the life sciences, chemical, and food & beverage sectors to effectively position CSols against competitors.
Requirements
Experience: 5–10 years of proven success in business development or technical sales, preferably within the laboratory informatics or scientific consulting space.
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in a Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) is highly preferred.
Pre-existing relationships within this domain are an asset, and extensive knowledge in LIMS, ELN, CDS or Data/Analytics is a must.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear business value propositions.
Travel: Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to meet with clients and attend industry conferences.
