Essential Functions:
Assist the Certificate in Legal Research Professorswith in-person and online course shell prep
Prepping course materials
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, using legal research tools (Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, etc.), and a knowledge of legal citation.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills required.
Required Qualifications:
Current student of the Sturm College of Law.
Completedthe Basic Legal Research Certificate program
Standard office environment
Unexpected interruptions occur occasionally
Stress level is moderate
Noise level is quiet to moderate
Physical Activities:
Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period
Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs
Compensation and Benefits:
This position does not require a work-study award.
Students will be paid minimum wage and work up to10hours per week.
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
