Description of the Position
Students use safe handling methods to maintain clean habitats for fish.

Duties and Responsibilities
Routinely change water and feed fish
Check and change filters as needed
Monitor water chemistry – adjust as needed
Report changes/concerns to supervisor
Maintain weekly log of water chemistry
Monitor health of reef creatures
Qualifications
Experience maintaining aquaria
Dependable and punctual
Able to work with limited supervision
Attention to detail
Physical and Environmental Factors
This position requires crouching, stooping, twisting/pivoting, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., operating hand tools, and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to wet or humid conditions indoors and rare exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, and chemicals to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
