Automatic Door Service Technician
Experienced technician needed to service automatic doors. AAADM certification preferred. Responsibilities include repairs and replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal, storefront, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal, storefront, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.
Service a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
Utilize carpentry skills for partition framing with metal/wood studs and install doors and windows.
Conduct preventative maintenance and handle commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, and emergency exit devices.
Manage multiple projects and work under time and other constraints.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a team environment as well as independently.
Ensure strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
Provide excellent customer service orientation.
Thrive in a highly fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in automatic door installation or service. Key skills include proficiency in servicing various doors and equipment, carpentry, mechanical aptitude, a clean driving record, and experience with brands such as Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, and Assa Abloy.
Required Skills
Proficient knowledge of service for a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
Minimum 2 years' experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
AAADM certification is a plus.
Carpentry skills for partition framing with metal/wood studs and installation of doors/windows.
Experience with commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and preventative maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Clean driving record is required for operating company vehicles.
Positive and professional attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time and other constraints.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
