The resort is also proud to have Cape May’s only oceanfront liquor store – The Wine Cellar at Harry’s. The Montreal Beach Resort has recently been acquired by Madison Resorts, with plans to offer a complete renovation to this already beautiful property. **Summary:**The role of the seasonal Food & Beverage Accounting Assistant is to properly handle banking duties for the Food & Beverage department, maintain records of financial transactions, and assists the Accounting department with invoicing, data entry, and other related duties.**Responsibilities:*** Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.* Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.* Follows opening/close out procedures for all F&B staff.* Banking responsibilities.* Coordinates credit card tip payouts to Food & Beverage staff.* Responsible for counting employees’ blind drops and ensuring accuracies.* Notifies the Accounting leadership and Food & Beverage leader of any employee variances.* Replenishes change for employees when necessary.* Provides ongoing support to the Accounting department.* Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.* Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, scanning and photocopying documents, handling incoming/outgoing mail, etc.* Assists the Accounting Manager in creating and updating financial reports.* Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.* Proper use of POS including product and payment methods.* 100% cash accuracy – works with cash office to correct deficiencies immediately.* Verify recorded expenses and report irregularities to management.* Provide assistance to functional department managers with inventory control.* Assisting the Accounting Manager with special finance related project assignments.* Performs other related duties as assigned.## Qualifications* Requires sharp mathematics knowledge and error-free calculation and fact-checking skills.* Able to effectively work independently or as part of a team.* Should have cash handling capabilities and be able to count back proper change.* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.* Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required and ability to work well under pressure.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Attention to detail.* Good computer skills with a knowledge of common bookkeeping and spreadsheet programs.**Disclaimer**“This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
