Job Description
Supports inventory and equipment management, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and coordinating preventative maintenance.
Maintains effective communication with staff, leadership, clinical partners, facilitating alignment on priorities and expectations.
Collaborates with radiologists and other providers to support protocol adherence, service coordination, and exam quality.
Leads or supports quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, workflow optimization, and patient satisfaction efforts.
Ensures patient safety and experience standards are met, addressing concerns and promoting a culture of empathy and accountability.
Assists with strategic initiatives and projects such as service expansions, system upgrades, or accreditation readiness, as delegated by leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Monitors workflow and productivity, adjusting staffing and resources as needed to meet patient demand and ensure timely turnaround.
Supports and oversees department regulatory and accreditation compliance.
Participates in budget planning and operational decision‑making, providing input on staffing, equipment, and resource needs.
Engages in talent development, including onboarding, training, and the talent care process to foster a high‑performing team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must show evidence of job‑specific competencies.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet access.
Previous Business Development experience.
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff.
Business software proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Cerner and PACS preferred.
Ability to work in a matrix‑management environment to achieve organizational goals.
Performance improvement skills.
Ability to interact effectively with patients and families under physical and/or emotional stress.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Hospital, Medical Practice, or Physician office experience.
Ability to acquire and effectively apply knowledge relating to specific processes, techniques, and procedures.
Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to adapt to diverse roles within the department and leadership team.
Up‑to‑date knowledge of department‑specific hazards, such as ionizing radiation and universal precautions, to adhere to safety standards established by healthcare regulatory agencies.
Annual planning – budget and project experience.
Prior success in working with teams/managing people.
Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure information quality.
Basic computer skills and advanced knowledge and experience with Word and Excel.
Imaging management, experience working with physicians, formal project management experience, and clinical experience within Imaging preferred.
Demonstrates leadership and teaching skills.
Knowledge of all aspects of department functions for adequate supervision and direction of staff.
Ability to perform technical procedures without supervision.
Knowledge of communication styles and proper engagement behaviors with patients, staff, and physicians.
LEAN training preferred.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Multitasking ability.
Knowledge of basic state and federal laws as applicable to healthcare settings.
Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients, physicians, and hospital personnel.
Strong knowledge of financial and business aspects of imaging.
Education
Associate [Preferred]
Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study
in Healthcare Administration, Health Services or Business Administration
in Healthcare Administration, Health Services or Business Administration
Work Experience
5+ years of relevant leadership experience [Preferred]
