Summary / Objective
The Grants & Data Manager will work with the Peter & Paul Community Services (PPCS) leadership team to strengthen both the organization’s fundraising capacity and data infrastructure. This role combines strategic grant writing and management with leadership of agency-wide data systems, ensuring that PPCS will effectively secure funding, demonstrate impact, and maintain accurate data across all programs.
This position will lead the full grant lifecycle: write and submit funding proposals, research grant opportunities, manage grant processes and deadlines, award management, reporting, and compliance while also overseeing data integrity, reporting systems, and dashboard development across platforms including Bell Data, HMIS, and Get Help.
Essential Functions
Grant Writing & Stewardship
Research and pursue grant opportunities that align with PPCS’s mission and program priorities to strengthen grant strategy and increase funding sustainability.
Write and submit compelling, mission-driven grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications.
Steward relationships with funders through clear communication and gratitude.
Data Oversight, Compliance, & Reporting
Ensure all required data for grants, compliance, and internal reporting is collected, validated, and submitted on time.
Maintain and monitor data systems (Bell Data, HMIS, Get Help) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Create and maintain user guides and SOPs for data systems and support staff training.
Develop thoughtful and timely reports that demonstrate impact, including outcomes and client stories.
Collaboration & Mission Integration
Work closely with program and finance teams to align funding opportunities and data practices with organizational needs.
Ensure all grant materials accurately reflect program outcomes and organizational priorities.
Support collaboration to ensure grant compliance and successful program implementation.
Communicate grant requirements and timelines in a clear and supportive manner.
Other Duties
Participate in agency-wide data improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold PPCS’s values of dignity, transparency, and service.
Other duties assigned by the CEO, COO and SDD, based on PPCS need.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit development, public administration, communications, or related field.
Experience: 3-5+ years of grant writing or nonprofit fundraising experience and/or data systems management.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong relationships with funders.
A deep commitment to PPCS’s mission and serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Proficient in HMIS, Bell Data, Get Help, and/or similar platforms.
Work Schedule: Some evenings and weekends required as needed for special events and meetings.
