Banquet Server
As our Banquet Server you provide exceptional hospitality and superior service to our clients, members and guests for all banquets, catering and designated member events. This includes preparation of event rooms, surrounding event spaces, ceremony site and off-site catering, serving customers and cleanup after an event. Your friendly and responsive service will create an exceptional event experience. Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare all event rooms, surrounding event spaces, ceremony site and off-site catering areas, ensuring all areas meet presentation and operational standards.
Direct any entertainment venue and/or vendors to their station areas and assist with functional needs (as required by BCCC).
Welcome and warmly greet all clients, members and guests.
Provide immediate attention and ensure smooth, efficient service to all clients, members and guests.
During down time, maintain clean service areas by cleaning, sweeping, polishing glasses or performing other necessary duties.
It is the server and bartenders\' responsibility to ensure that all clients, members and guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks as needed.
Report or advise your manager of any client, member or guest situations, incidents or complaints as they occur.
Knowledge of banquet menu, services provided and knowledge of general operations for overall success of events.
Follow all policy changes and/or procedures pertaining to federal, state and local laws regarding food & alcoholic beverages.
Responsible for signing the tip-out sheet at the end of each shift.
Required Attributes
Minimum 18-years of age to serve alcoholic beverage.
Outgoing and friendly personality. Exceptional interpersonal and communicative skills.
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and a sense of urgency to perform and complete tasks in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
Desired Qualifications
High school education or continuing education preferred.
Hospitality or customer service-related experience a plus.
Weekday availability a plus.
Certifications or License
CPR / AED and Basic First Aid
Serv Safe Certified
Valid Driver's License (Required)
Position & Schedule
Part-Time Non-Exempt, Entry Level position. Varying days & hours depending on the banquet, catering and/or member events scheduled: Monday – Sunday, days, evenings, weekends and/or Holidays.
