As a Field Merchandiser Floater you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, support seasonal resets and installations, and may work with other product lines.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 – $18.00, depending on your skills and experience.
You will receive paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule. Average weekly hours are 2–10 hours per week. Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required. Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is also required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day-to-day engagement:
Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys.
Holiday support:
Additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the holiday itself.
Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notification is typically two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in the network as needed.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You will kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use ladders throughout your workday.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
Can operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Has Wi‑Fi access and internet connectivity.
Consistent transportation to travel to assigned stores.
