Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in South Gate, CA. This role requires an individual who is highly aware and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities, including removing trespassers, conducting hourly patrols, and working closely with local law enforcement as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular patrols of the premises on an hourly basis to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Monitor surveillance systems and assess the premises for potential security risks or suspicious activities.
Address and remove trespassers professionally, ensuring the safety of staff, customers, and property.
Respond to calls for assistance, managing incidents and coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with questions or concerns while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Adhere to all security protocols and company policies to maintain a high standard of safety at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in a security or law enforcement-related role.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfort with conflict resolution and enforcing security measures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
High School Diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age
Must have the legal right to work in the United States
Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Skills & Abilities
High attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to de-escalate confrontational situations while maintaining professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Comfortable working with local law enforcement when necessary.
