Clean Harbors is seeking a National InSite QA/QC Manager to provide operational leadership and floating support for refinery-based InSite programs. This role will support refinery and InSite locations based on business needs.

The National InSite QA/QC Manager will help launch new programs, train permanent site leadership, provide coverage for operational gaps, support customer-facing operations, and help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution across assigned locations. This role is also responsible for monitoring operational performance, supporting compliance expectations, and identifying growth opportunities within customer accounts.

This position is ideal for a candidate with leadership experience, strong operational judgment, and experience managing personnel, equipment, and site assets in a refinery, hazardous waste, transportation, environmental services, or industrial setting.

Travel may vary depending on account needs, new program wins, and turnaround support.

$75,000 - $85,000 salary DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner

Support the implementation and startup of new InSite programs at refinery and industrial customer locations

Train and develop permanent site managers and onsite leadership teams on operational expectations, customer requirements, and compliance standards

Provide operational coverage for vacancies, PTO, LOA, onboarding periods, and other business needs

Support refinery and InSite operations through onsite leadership presence, team guidance, and customer coordination

Help oversee site assets, including trucks, bins, equipment, and other operational resources

Conduct in-person site assessments and field visits to inspect equipment, working conditions, and overall operational performance

Review operational reports, customer concerns, compliance issues, and safety matters and provide recommendations for improvement

Support the review and update of JHAs, SOPs, Operations Manuals, and Health and Safety documentation as needed

Help establish and communicate metrics, KPIs, and baseline operational expectations for assigned locations

Partner with InSite Operations Managers, Site Leads, Branch Managers, and other internal stakeholders to communicate lessons learned, track corrective actions, and support performance improvement

Review customer contracts and operational documentation to help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and company requirements

Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying service opportunities and supporting revenue growth

Ensure employees and site operations are aligned with company goals, objectives, policies, and core values

Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements

Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines, procedures, and environmental health and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred

5-7 years of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Leadership experience required

Experience managing personnel, equipment, fleets, or operational assets preferred

Refinery experience preferred

Hazardous waste, environmental services, transportation, or industrial operations experience preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including EPA and DOT requirements, preferred

Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements

Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position

Valid driver's license required

40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER required

TWIC preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Must be open to travel in support of refinery and InSite operations

Travel may vary depending on business need, operational coverage, new site startups, and turnaround activity

Travel is expected to be approximately up to 50-60%

Clean Harbors Field Services teams perform a multitude of services, including sump and tank pump-outs, tank cleaning requiring confined space entry and vacuum services, building or site decontamination, large remediation projects and emergency response.
