
Warehouse Specialist

Technica is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm for work at the DLA Distribution Center in Tracy, CA.
Work involves most of the following:
Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
Constructing and repairing boxes, pallets, wood bracing to be used in shipping and storage, as needed.
Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Requirements:
This worker will be trained and licensed on the operation of hand or power trucks and MHE for performing warehousing duties
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, and sleet
Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Must be willing to be trained to operate a forklift and stock selector - being lifted in the air 30 feet and must meet the 300 lb limit of the equipment (includes the safety harness)
Must meet the government facility base access requirements
