Hours of work normally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:15 am- 4:15 pm but can exceed 40 hours a week including some evening and weekend hours.

Ability to lift over 50 pounds as needed and travel to our financial center locations using a company-provided vehicle during the workday.

Pay range is $27.75 - $30.75/hr, based on experience.

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a resident expert to others and independently perform maintenance and system activities (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.) to maintain financial centers, grounds, and utilities in operational status.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain HVAC systems and perform electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, fuses, minor appliances) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.

Perform plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.) to provide operable and efficient plumbing capabilities to the branches.

Perform painting and carpentry work.

Schedule and oversee the completion of work from independent vendors as needed, e.g. heating/air conditioning, cleaning, snow removal, landscaping, garbage removal etc. to ensure scheduled duties are completed.

Assist in performing scheduled and “as needed” inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety related tasks (e.g. fire extinguishers, lighting, sidewalks are clear from snow, ice, debris, etc.).

Monitor safety related issues, maintain onsite/offsite storage facilities, coordinate and assist in any necessary physical moves (i.e. cubicles, desks, equipment) of departmental operations.

Prepare and retain adequate records of maintenance repairs.

Perform courier-related functions, when needed.

Requirements
Candidates should have a valid NYS Driver’s License plus high school diploma/equivalent or higher and a minimum of 5 years construction/building maintenance experience.

Broad understanding of how systems work/flow together from beginning to end as well as safety codes and security, familiarity with construction projects.

Computer proficiency and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to carry out instructions, complete work assignments with minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
