Hospital - Process Improvement Specialist
Job Description
Leads initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality across our organization. Manages multiple projects, identifying process improvement opportunities, and driving the implementation of sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with executive sponsors/champions, process owners and improvement teams to identify projects that will reduce errors, defects, and “never” events to improve patient safety and quality of care
Leads and manages end-to-end project life-cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, project scope, timelines, and budget.
Analyzes current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement and implements sustainable best practices to optimize workflows.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute process improvement strategies.
Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and change management efforts.
Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report on outcomes.
Drives a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching, training, and resources to team members.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout improvement projects.
Maintains project documentation, including status reports and tracking of performance metrics.
Collaborates within an integrated Quality, Patient Safety, and Accreditation team.
Perform all other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or healthcare-related field required
Experience
3 years of related experience in formal project management and experience leading process improvement in a healthcare setting.
