Associate Project Manager- Construction (UIS)

About the role
As an Associate Project Manager, you will grow alongside our dedicated Project Management team, providing advanced administrative support to operations, administration, and construction management for real‑estate projects. You will have direct accountability for project delivery, including documentation preparation, issue for commitment, and reporting. You may also manage smaller projects under the guidance of a more experienced Project Manager.

What you’ll do

Support the Project Management team in managing all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual commercial real‑estate projects, including planning, design, construction management, occupancy, and closeout.

Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements; ensure project data integrity and documentation are accurate, timely, and coordinated.

Track progress against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and timelines; report status and variances; and craft action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.

Communicate with other program control disciplines and program delivery to coordinate controls effectively.

Coordinate with the Delivery Director to ensure resource requirements are communicated and coordinated.

Prepare and coordinate delivery schedules to facilitate work planning.

Manage smaller projects as assigned and lead third‑party project delivery resources or teams, tracking performance and motivating team members.

Apply knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and address routine problems.

Maintain a broad understanding of your field and familiarity with several job subject areas within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with company RISE values; explain complex information clearly.

Impact the quality of your own work and that of the team.

Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in construction project management; large‑scale infrastructure project support is preferred. A combination of experience and education will also be considered.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience with Kahua is a plus.

Previous AEC experience preferred, including construction project management, owner’s rep, or project management for commercial projects. Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices is required.

Ability to read and understand architectural drawings; knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices is helpful.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems, and ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment.

Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mentality.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary is $105,000 annually. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
