Position Overview
We are seeking
IT Business Analysts / Data Analysts
with a strong focus on
data analysis and requirements alignment . This is
not a traditional Business Analyst role
- the ideal candidate brings deep analytical skills and is comfortable working with complex datasets, identifying edge cases, and translating data findings into actionable business insights.
Candidates may already be operating at a
senior Business Systems Analyst level
or may come from a
data analyst background with the desire to grow into a BSA role
within a highly experienced, data‑driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Perform
in‑depth data analysis
to identify trends, anomalies, and edge cases
Use
SQL
to analyze data sets and validate business requirements
Identify data quality issues and contribute to improved data accuracy
Analyze and present data findings to
senior stakeholders
Business Analysis & Requirements
Contribute to
alignment and requirements documentation , including:
Business requirements
JIRA epics and user stories
Workflow and non‑functional requirements
Validate user stories to ensure requirements coverage and prevent defects
Translate data insights into meaningful business recommendations
Support and collaborate with senior and principal‑level business analysts
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner with
Product Owners, Business Analysts, and project teams
Participate in estimation discussions for scope, resourcing, and timelines
Participate in SIT reviews, defect analysis, and support
user acceptance testing
Maintain and enhance system documentation following established standards
Apply industry best practices in business analysis and data analysis
Risk & Governance
Align daily work to established
risk and control processes
Identify risks early and elevate appropriately
Required Skills & Experience
Strong
SQL
skills for data analysis and edge‑case identification
Advanced
Microsoft Excel
skills for data manipulation and analysis
Strong analytical mindset with attention to data integrity and detail
Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and business teams
Minimum of
2+ years
of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Python
experience for data analysis or automation
Background in
financial services
or other data‑intensive industries
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Team Environment
Highly collaborative, senior‑level team with strong mentorship opportunities
