Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Highway Transportation Engineer (PE) position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and Professional Engineer (PE) license
20+ years of progressive highway/roadway design experience, including NYSDOT projects
Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for highway design and cost estimates
Perform and oversee advanced roadway design including alignments, profiles, and grading
Ensure compliance with NYSDOT and local standards, regulations, and safety requirements
Conduct quality reviews for constructability and technical accuracy of design documents
Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
Salary
$130,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
