Accounts Receivable Clerk - Modesto, CA
The Level IV Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. The Level IV Clerk provides support in the Accounts Receivable department by maintaining the accurate and timely collection of receivables and ensuring that all applicable policies and regulations are adhered to.
The Clerk is the liaison with applicable vendors, agencies, and other company departments. This position makes journal entries and reconciliations and ensures the proper processes and protocols are followed with regards to company receivables. This position prepares and presents reports/analyses to upper management.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Applies customer payments
Researches and solves payment discrepancies
Processes credit card payments and credits
Makes adjustments to accounts as needed
Prepares weekly manual deposits
Prepares weekly reports
Prepares journal entries and reconciliations
Researches variances in P&Ls and Consolidated Financial Statements
Copying, filing, faxing
Performs other duties as assigned

Hiring pay range: $21.00 - 25.19
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Knowledge of accounting and finance
Knowledge of systems and processes as they relate and apply to Accounts Receivable
Attention to detail
10-key experience
Able to work independently on routine work,
Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong customer service skills
Strong fact-finding skills
Excellent organizational skills
Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education: High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
Experience: Six months of related experience
Other Requirements: This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime and occasional Saturday work
