Product Agronomy Specialist III
Location: United States — Nebraska (Residence Based)
This role covers Central Plains (Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado) and will involve overseeing experimental and commercial field testing programs for products and hybrids. The incumbent will collaborate with research and commercial teams, design and conduct trials, collect and analyze agronomic data, and provide insights that influence product and hybrid development.
Responsibilities
Engage with product teams to develop national protocols and lead local technical teams (LTT) in creating regional protocols.
Apply recommendations from statisticians on trial design to meet protocol objectives and align with field testing capabilities.
Identify and secure testing sites that meet protocol criteria, influencing farmer cooperators and customers.
Collect, analyze, summarize, and interpret data to influence product positioning and stakeholder confidence.
Ensure compliance with company trait stewardship requirements and facilitate product performance inquiry processes.
Consult with germplasm FSRs and TAs, coordinating with internal field testing functions to support our product pipeline.
Identify new market opportunities and lead the development of trials for valued customer outcomes.
Partner with sales and agronomy to deliver demonstrations and training content.
Present regional research results to technical managers, agronomy, and sales teams, facilitating discussions to create and deploy educational content.
Learn, apply, and comply with all safety standards, coaching others in safety and logistics.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related discipline.
Excellent understanding of Bayer germplasm, traits, and crop protection in the assigned geography.
Ability to make recommendations and develop enhanced agronomic systems.
Strong technical and sales support skills with regional influence.
Obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator certification in the state(s) within the territory.
Proficient at working with and leading all personality types, developing and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to function independently or collaboratively to plan, coordinate, and execute field research trials.
Facilitate the delivery of critical field research data for product advancement and commercialization decisions.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or R&D roles.
MS (8 years of experience) or Ph.D. (4 years of experience) in Agriculture or related discipline.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $111,520.00 – $167,280.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
