Description
Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and the general appearance of their scheduled area. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining all regulated housekeeping and Infection Control Standards.
Schedule:
Full-time - 80 hrs per pay period; Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-2:30pm
Essential Job Duties/Requirements:
Performs adequate and thorough disinfecting and sanitizing procedures of all horizontal surfaces.
Removes/prevents build up on the floors and around the perimeters.
Removes biohazard and general garbage from rooms/areas according to policy.
Performs adequate bathroom cleaning and sanitation requirements.
Performs unit discharge cleaning appropriately and in a timely manner.
Removes visible debris from carpeted areas when necessary.
Maintains communication with supervisor for area and/or departmental needs or concerns.
Uses personal protective equipment as necessary.
Follows established room-cleaning guidelines for all areas.
Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required & Minimum of one year related work experience
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and communicate in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to make standard precaution decisions.
Ability to address patients, visitors, and co-workers with courtesy, pleasantness and respect.
