Position Summary
The VAS (Value-Added Services) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the VAS department, ensuring production goals are met with accuracy, efficiency, and quality. This role requires a confident, organized leader with strong production experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain accountability across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily VAS production activities to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Assign work, monitor progress, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Utilize strong inventory skills to track materials, maintain accurate counts, and support inventory control processes.

Identify issues quickly and apply effective problem‑solving skills to keep production running smoothly.

Enforce company policies and provide corrective action or discipline to associates when necessary.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Communicate clearly with associates, leadership, and other departments regarding production needs and updates.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Proven production experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or VAS environment.

Strong problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, hands‑on approach.

Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.

Ability to discipline and hold associates accountable in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.

Strong inventory management skills, including tracking, counting, and reconciliation.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a high‑volume distribution or logistics environment.

PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.

Education and Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory/management experience and 1-2 years of copack/assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.

Language Skills Sets
Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software. Familiarity with labeling software (NiceLabel, Bartender) is a plus.

Physical Demands
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons. Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk. Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time. Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones. Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
