Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate
$26.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the production of aviation electrical and power distribution systems by ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, aerospace quality standards, and internal quality requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining product conformity, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and aerospace standards, including AS9100
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical and power system components and assemblies
Review and verify material certifications, traceability records, and production documentation
Identify, document, and manage nonconformances (NCRs)
Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up
Assist with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and configuration control activities
Monitor quality metrics and process trends to identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and technical teams to resolve quality issues
Maintain document control, revision management, and quality records
Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability
Required Qualifications
Experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing quality
Working knowledge of FAA regulations and AS9100 quality management systems
Experience with nonconformance management and corrective actions
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with aircraft electrical or power distribution systems
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102)
Experience supporting FAA or customer audits
Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
Exposure to continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies
Work Environment
Manufacturing and production floor setting
Hands-on inspection activities
Collaboration with quality, operations, and leadership teams

Pay and Benefits
