Who is Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare?
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve families across the state of New Jersey and are currently seeking dedicated Bilingual Behavioral Technicians to join our Essex County team.
Job Summary
As a Bilingual Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in‑home, in‑community, and in‑center. Providers typically work 5–20 hours per week, with 2–4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands‑off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well‑being.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide non‑physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
Ensure the safety and well‑being of the client
Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan
Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
Respond to crises using de‑escalation and safety strategies
Engage clients in interest‑based activities to support growth and awareness
Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines
Qualifications
Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
Must pass all state and federal background checks
A pre‑employment, post‑conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
Bilingual (Spanish‑speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines
If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, or social work, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
If you have a High School Diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals

Bonus Structure
$150 issued after 45 days of active case assignment
$150 issued after an additional 60 days
Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus period
Eligibility Criteria
Complete all onboarding and orientation requirements
Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2–3 assigned clients
Stay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions
Remain in good standing throughout the bonus period
Definition of Good Standing
Consistently meet performance expectations and documentation deadlines
Have no active Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or disciplinary actions
Maintain effective communication with supervisors and families
Comply with all attendance policies and case responsibilities
