Job Overview
The Medical Assistant serves as the first point of contact for patient care, performing both clinical and administrative tasks. The position requires competency in patient documentation, vital sign collection, and operational support while reporting to the Center Administrator.
Clinical Responsibilities
Document patient symptoms in the EMR.
Take and record vital signs.
Administer injections.
Perform diagnostic tests.
Collect specimens and draw blood.
Sterilize equipment.
Maintain examination rooms.
Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) school or training program, or certification/registration as an MA, or 5+ years of experience with approval from the Provider.
Phlebotomy experience.
Medication and vaccine administration experience.
CPR certification.
Compliance with the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, including required TB screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina candidates require MA certification or registration).
Experience in Value Based Care, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
Work Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Sign‑On Bonus
$1,000 after 120 days of employment.
Compensation
The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full‑time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual qualifications. The pay range is $43,000 – $56,200 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
