Summary
The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of retail pharmacy operation within the assigned area, including inventory, workflow and security, with an emphasis on customer service. The role supports medication access, adherence, and clinical outcomes through collaboration with providers, care teams, and specialty pharmacy services, advancing patient‑centered care by integrating outpatient dispensing services with the broader health system.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited school required
Texas Pharmacist License or eligibility for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist
Pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment
New graduates must obtain their preceptor license within 90 days after one year of being licensed as a pharmacist; ACPE Immunization Certification required
Certified Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) credential preferred
