JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs all aspects of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography on all patient populations, as appropriate.
Principal Accountabilities
Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertion and diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Performs post procedure care/groin management including arterial and venous sheath removal.
Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on radiologic equipment.
Maintains supply inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
Current AART credential of Radiology.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) required.
One year of Interventional radiology/cath lab experience required.
Recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist.
