
Procurement Coordinator

Position Summary
The Procurement Coordinator – MRO supports procurement activities related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) categories across a global organization. This role is responsible for processing purchase requests, sourcing competitive vendor quotes, maintaining supplier communications, and ensuring procurement transactions are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies. The position also works closely with cross-functional teams and manages assigned procurement tickets within a ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Process Management:
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Track order status, ensure on‑time delivery, and resolve any transactional issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
Supplier Communication & Relationship Support:
Coordinate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, lead times, pricing, and issue resolution. Support supplier performance by maintaining effective and professional vendor communication.
Vendor Sourcing & Quote Collection:
Source new or alternative vendors as needed. Obtain and compare competitive quotes to ensure cost‑effective purchasing decisions that meet quality and delivery requirements.
Ticketing System Support:
Manage assigned procurement requests through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution, accurate documentation, and adherence to internal service levels.
Inventory & Order Coordination:
Monitor MRO inventory levels, initiate replenishment orders, and coordinate with internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with operations, maintenance, finance, and IT to align procurement actions with business needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Market Awareness & Risk Identification:
Stay informed on pricing trends, supplier changes, and potential disruptions. Escalate risks and assist in ensuring procurement continuity.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in MRO or indirect categories.
Experience working in a multi‑site or global organization is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Collaborative and customer‑service oriented, with the ability to support internal stakeholders.
