Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead large-scale engineering projects from inception to completion, driving high-quality execution
Design and implement scalable, distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent), and data transformation pipelines
Contribute to platform-wide architectural decisions and shape long-term engineering strategy
Deliver major system enhancements—e.g., platform-wide performance upgrades—within defined timelines (2–3 months)
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; establish best practices in design, testing, and code quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities and technical direction for key initiatives
Unblock and support internal partners while improving systems that reduce tech debt and enhance delivery
Experience
5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems design
Proven experience delivering and scaling large infrastructure or distributed systems projects
Expertise in Kubernetes and container technologies (e.g., Docker, cri‑o)
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP; familiarity with Google Cloud Console and Cloud Functions is a plus
Proficiency with our core stack: Go, Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, Vue 3, Hapi, SQL (BigQuery preferred)
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support technical growth within engineering teams
Experience leading incident response and ensuring service reliability in high‑stakes environments

The expected range of pay for this position is $90,000 - $140,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications and experience. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
