We’re seeking motivated Registered Nurses to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in our Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care Unit. About the Unit
The Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care Unit has 22 beds, 10 L&D/Triage rooms, 12 Post Partum Rooms, and a 20‑room nursery. We care for laboring patients from admission to discharge, including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum care, and OBGYN surgical patients such as hysterectomies and mastectomies. Our unit is magnet designated and currently seeking an AWHONN designation.

Responsibilities
The RN is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as described by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation. The RN will apply professional performance standards such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and resource utilization.
Education
RN‑Associate’s Degree
RN‑Bachelor’s Degree
RN‑Diploma
RN‑Master’s Degree
License / Certification
Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
ACLS and PALS or ENPC within one year of hire
Experience
New graduates who have completed a preceptorship at Obici L&D and Postpartum Care are considered
At least one year of acute care nursing experience (preferred)
