We are seeking a highly skilled Trim Carpenter to join our growing team of professionals.
Position Summary
The Trim Carpenter is responsible for performing finish-level carpentry work in residential and light commercial settings. This is a hands‑on, skilled‑trade role requiring a high degree of precision, craftsmanship, and professional accountability. The ideal candidate brings years of proven experience in door installation, trim work, and detail finish carpentry — and consistently delivers work that reflects pride of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Door Installation & Hardware
Mortise and install door hinges with precision, ensuring flush, clean cuts and proper swing alignment
Install pre‑hung and slab doors in both new construction and remodel environments
Fit and install door stops, strike plates, locksets, and related door hardware
Hang and align doors to correct reveal tolerances on all four sides
Trim & Finish Carpentry
Measure, cut, and install interior trim including casing, base molding in certain situations
Fit and install door casings with tight, professional reveals when needed.
Familiarity with pocket door systems, barn door hardware, and specialty door types
Experience running a job independently from start to finish
Experience working in high‑end residential or custom home environments
General Carpentry & Site Work
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and installation specifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
Coordinate with other trades and project leads to complete work on schedule
Communicate professionally with homeowners
Troubleshoot and resolve fit issues in the field with minimal supervision
Must have your own tools, company can provide some tools if needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in finish carpentry and door installation
Demonstrated expertise in hinge mortising, door hanging, and trim installation
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, including routers, chisels, circular saws, jigsaws, nail guns, and levels.
Ability to read and work cut sheets, and job orders
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
Valid driver's license work van will be provided.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work in varied conditions
