Responsibilities
Provide exceptionally friendly customer service to every patient both in office and over the phone.
Manage the office phone system: answer phone calls from patients, pharmacies, caregivers, etc., with questions regarding a patient’s clinical needs.
Follow practice guidelines on clinical decision making for proposing orders and messages to providers from patients.
Work with insurance companies, obtaining referrals, prior authorizations, etc.
Follow up with patients on test results, post-procedure instructions, etc.
Assist with any miscellaneous tasks to ensure the practice is presentable to incoming patients.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
Experience with EMS preferred.
Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
