Currently seeking: Direct Support Professional Positions
Who we need:
Friendly, caring, energetic, patient and reliable candidates who are passionate about working to make a difference in other people’s lives. Candidates are matched with specific participants based on compatibility.
What you do:
Provide direct care to adults with developmental disabilities.
Ensure they are in a clean, safe, healthy environment at all times by:
Assist with activities of daily living such as proper hygiene and personal care.
Administer medications timely and document.
Transport individuals to activities in the community.
Maintain documentation of daily goals using an online system.
Rotating cleaning schedules.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Effectively communicate with other team members.
How:
Help participants meet their individual goals through skill-building, personal care, and community involvement. Training and supervision provided.
When:
Our participants have a variety of needs and schedules so we can offer full and part time positions between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Where:
Services are provided at the Wake Enterprises location and community. Candidates must be able to work independently, take initiative, and communicate well with program participants, Wake Enterprises personnel, and community members.
Requirements:
Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have high school diploma (or equivalent).
Must pass criminal background and drug screening.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle.
Experience with IDD clients preferred.
Work Location:
In person.
