This position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a DTI technologist, you will assure that services are provided to patients and referring providers within expected professional standards. As a type of special procedures technologist, the DTI Technologist operates assigned equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Using a patient-centered approach, the DTI technologist provides imaging services within professional standards and with excellent customer service, kindly guiding patients through each step of the imaging exam procedure and process and answering their questions and concerns. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians/providers. This position is full-time, working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(90%) DTI Imaging Responsibilities
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
Explains and prepares patients for imaging procedures that will be performed; clearly explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the correct parts of their body can be appropriately imaged.
Performs routine and advanced DTI imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury, with minimal amount of supervision, while providing continuous patient support.
Produces diagnostic images in assigned/designated area.
Adjusts DTI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
Maintains a sterile environment during procedures requiring
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
Performs quality control tasks as assigned.
(5%) Department Support Responsibilities
Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
ARRT registered technologist; must be current and in good standing.
Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
Licensed Radiological Technologist, as required by the state(s) you work in (as applicable).
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; must be current and maintained.
Documented training and applicable experience at a level to competently and independently perform DTI procedures under the supervision of a provider.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual.
