We’re seeking a Transportation Claims Adjuster who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to managing auto and trucking liability claims.

The Transportation Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving commercial transportation‑related claims in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Claims may include Bodily Injury (BI), Commercial General Liability (CGL), and other Commercial Liability (CL) exposures arising from transportation operations.

This role handles claims of increasing complexity depending on level and collaborates with clients, insureds, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage moderate complexity claims involving BI and commercial liability exposures.

Conduct independent coverage analysis and claim strategy decisions.

Handle files with attorney representation and moderate litigation activity.

Demonstrate developing expertise in transportation claims.

3+ years of liability or transportation claims experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Claims adjusting licenses as required by jurisdiction.

Strong knowledge of liability claims handling practices.

Experience handling BI, CGL, or transportation‑related claims preferred.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple claims while maintaining quality and service standards.

Proficiency with claims management systems and related technology.

Active adjuster license(s) or ability to obtain as required.

Preferred

Experience handling trucking claims, including DOT regulations and federal compliance.

Exposure to high‑exposure or litigated claims.

Familiarity with cargo, environmental, or multi‑party liability claims.

Multi‑state claims handling experience.
