S3 International, wholly owned subsidiary of S3, Inc., provides OCONUS FMS technical services, maintenance, and aviation platform training. S3 International (S3I) is seeking several Avionics Installers (Subject Matter Experts) to support a one-year fleet modification contract in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. U.S Military operational experience in Avionics repair is required.

S3I is seeking several full-time Avionics Installers to help complete a fleet-wide avionics cockpit modernization project for the Saudi Arabian military. S3I requires at least four subject matter expert installers who have received formal (preferably military AND general aviation) avionics training and experience, or have received equivalent training and experience with an Original Equipment Manufacturer, Modifications will be accomplished under the provisions of CFR14 FAA Part 145.

Skills and Duties

A&P license is desired

FCC License is required.

Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.

Perform quality work adhering to Prime Contractor standards for appearance, conduct, and interaction with foreign customer

Efficiently bench test and operate commercial and military basic Avionics test equipment

Employ detailed systems analysis and troubleshooting of analog and digital components and systems

Disassemble and reassemble cockpit interior, consoles, and instrument templates as necessary

Complete template fabrications and other light sheet metal adjustments

Complete complex system installations and cockpit modifications

Use industry standards and techniques for crimping terminals and pins

Read and understand electrical diagrams for electronic systems and interfacing components

Employ AC43.13 standard aircraft wiring solutions

Fabricate wiring harness and completes installation

Create wiring board setup and layout

Perform electrical harness continuity and power connectivity/output checks

Wire and install antenna mounts and antennae

Install coaxial links and connections

Ascertain that all repairs are properly performed on all completed work

Support Maintenance Operational Check and verify pre and post flight operations and inspections of installed equipment

Verify that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms typically used by a Part 145 Repair Station are properly executed

The employee will be responsible for the repair and installation of all categories of avionics and navigation equipment for rotary wing and fixed-wing aircraft, including radios, navigation equipment, instrumentation, and NVG compatible cockpits.

Operate AGSE as required.

Coordinate with Prime's onsite Logistics Specialist for ordering parts and supplies needed to finalize the installation

Prepare aircraft maintenance forms and records and ensure all maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Make entries to FAA-required records, logbooks, and other means of tracking historical data.

Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, materials, equipment, and supplies.

Communicate effectively with customers, Prime's technical inspectors, and maintenance managers.

Experience

U.S. Military Operational Experience Required in the Avionics Field

FCC license required

A&P License desired

10 Years' aviation avionics or maintenance technician experience minimum.

5 years' specific experience in installing avionics components

Helicopter Experience is required

Light sheet metal experience required

Experience as a Part 145 Avionics Inspector / Accountable Manager desired.

Has supervised avionics maintenance teams and subordinate technicians

Must be able to pass a background check to secure a visa to Saudi Arabia

Education

Holds an FCC Communications (License) Certificate

High School Graduate or 4 additional years direct relevant experience ILO HS or GED.

Medical Examination:

Candidates must successfully complete all mandatory medical examinations required to obtain employment.

Criminal Record:

To qualify for a Saudi Work Visa, candidates must have a clean criminal record with no prior convictions, as specified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

Candidates must pass a drug test to be considered for employment. Additionally, our ATSS program enforces a random drug and alcohol testing policy. Employees will be subject to periodic testing to maintain adherence to our workplace standards and safety regulations.
