SUD CLINICAL SUPERVISOR – IONIA & MONTCALM COUNTIES
Offices in Belding & Greenville – Split role. Licensed clinician with a passion for supporting recovery and leading others needed to supervise clinical staff remotely and on‑site.

Annual Salary Range: $79,000 – $83,000 based on behavioral health/substance use disorder experience and required credentialing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical leader to the team, working with other leadership personnel to keep staff current with agency policies, procedures, and developments.

Promote a holistic, strengths‑based treatment approach, with particular attention to family involvement and coordination of care with agencies (DHHS, court, school, medication‑assisted treatment, and other medical providers).

Provide education to clinicians and staff of Samaritas, CMH, PIHP, and state/federal treatment guidelines and procedures.

Oversee weekly team meetings, program implementation, hiring, training, and monitor clinician caseloads, methods, and treatment strategies.

Act as a bridge between the agency’s administration and program staff regarding agency planning, policies, and procedures.

Provide financial oversight of the program by monitoring staff productivity, expense line items, and other program expenses; assess and advocate for the program’s needs.

Complete timely staff evaluations and apply discipline procedures as necessary, consulting with Human Resources.

Assist in training staff within the program.

Collaborate with supervisors and directors to identify therapeutic training needs for treatment staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu.

Track information from intake through aftercare, maintaining statistical data for Samaritas.

Ensure compliance with Managed Care Organization requirements for case documentation, authorization, and reauthorization; provide training as needed.

Track and monitor utilization and outcome data, including quarterly reporting for the agency report card.

Maintain quality assurance compliance, including peer supervision, peer utilization reviews, and service delivery criteria reporting.

Assist in hiring, educating, training, and evaluating SUD program staff; help schedule marketing meetings and provide instructions for marketing initiatives.

Professional Development

Keep informed of current SUD community treatment program developments and activities.

Utilize educational opportunities (conferences, in‑services, therapist meetings) offered by the agency and the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise.

Leverage supervisor knowledge and skills to deepen understanding of treatment programming and enhance professional development.

Participate in research and evaluation projects; prepare presentations for colleagues and team members on selected relevant treatment topics.

Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution required.

Experience and Credentialing

Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) (IC & RC / MCBAP) preferred.

Michigan Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS‑M) preferred.

CAADC credential (Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor) or DP.

Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with SUD clientele.

Demonstrated experience supervising SUD staff (individual and group supervision) preferred.

Prior experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
