Weekdays, As Needed & Weekends, Highly Needed
Work Hours:
Varies Shift
Day Shift: 6:30AM - 2:30PM, As Needed
PM Shift: 12PM - 8PM, Urgent Need
Afternoon Shift: 2:30PM - 8PM, Urgent Need
Wage Rate:
$17 - 18, depending on experience
Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dietary Aide to join our team! This position is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.
Essential Job Duties
Serves meals in the health center pantries.
Washes silver, glass, china in dish machines in pantries as per regulation.
Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders.
Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms.
Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
Ensures that orders match Physician’s diet orders.
Qualifications
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
Ability to plan and organize work set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
