Summary
Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation and completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs; comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
Enrolled as a Nursing Student in an accredited Registered Nurse program or approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Completed the foundations or fundamentals semester of the nursing program and must provide an official transcript.
Experience Requirements
Student must have completed at least the fundamentals/base semester of nursing program.
State of Florida Licensure Requirements
Required certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification required.
Other Requirements
Competency skills checklist provided by Human Resources Recruitment; applicant must complete and bring to manager interview.
Communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills required.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terminology.
